About Philip Beere

I founded the G Home as a simple and affordable guide for those wanting to make green home improvements. In 2007, my first green remodel received LEED certification, one of the first to do so in the United States. In 2008, my second green remodel was certified to the National Green Building Standard (NGBS or ICC-700), and was the first in the United States. Since then, there have been thousands of homes that have been certified as rated by LEED or NGBS. In 2009, I founded the G Home as a simple path to green home certification compared to other green ratings, and as a platform to help with design and/or marketing.
