Investor template for multiple green remodels

Offering developers a team approach to enhance the efficiency and aesthetics of pre-1980s homes in Arizona, the G Home program from green educator G Street targets developers that remodel 10 or more homes per year. The reason, founder Philip Beere says, is that the developers work on a high volume of homes and, since they’re already upgrading mechanical systems, interiors, and landscaping, they have ready access to areas in the home where they can incorporate efficient practices and products. The program has expanded from Phoenix to Los Angeles, Denver, and Portland, Ore.

Scottsdale’s G Street eyes investment market

Scottsdale-based green-home entrepreneur Philip Beere has launched a business catering to investors who buy foreclosure homes and then remodel and resell them to consumers.
Beere, who established Green Street Development in 2010 to purchase older homes and retrofit them with energy-saving features, has shifted his business model to that of a consultant helping other investors do as Green Street has done.

Green Remodeling Program Bringing in Higher Appraisals for Pre-1980 Homes

Old Phoenix ranch house gets rehabbed, at a profit

In Phoenix, a city where the real estate slump has hit hard, developer Philip Beere has found an eco-friendly way to make money by rehabbing old homes, most in foreclosure. He dramatically upgraded the looks and energy efficiency of a 1,600 square foot, 70-year-0ld ranch house in the Pierson Place Historic District near the city’s new light-rail line. He then resold it.
